@sw108105 @teacher2teacher@WeAreTeachers As an introvert myself, I learned I enjoy small group talk & share, but have a harder time with big group share outs or switching groups constantly. If they are very familiar with each other it's prob easier, but if you have newbie staff that are introverts, it may overwhelm.
Teachers are SIX times more engaged & effective when they feel valued, appreciated & their strengths are utilized. My PD's focus on inspiring, affirming & appreciating teachers, while maximizing their talents/strengths. Few spots left for fall & scheduling for spring/summer 2022
Admin are aware that teachers are stressed to the max, but now is the time to be even more empathic and diligent in supporting teachers as we head into the holidays, conferences, & mid terms. Its getting tougher; not easier for them.
@linda_bock3@NISDEvers Thank you for inviting me to introduce this to your class! Your class shared a lot of great math thinking. I look forward to visiting again soon! π
After weeks of inconsistent guidance from TEA and Texas leadership on schools reopening in the fall, Dr. @briantwoods1 has set the tone for school districts across the state. Thank you for continuing to fight for the safety of our students and teachers! π@NISD#GoodTrouble#TxEd
Here's one of my go-to websites during remote learning - a one stop shop for a range of maths manipulatives. So helpful via screenshare during video sessions with students! Easy to use. Pass it on! #iteachmath#elemmathchat https://t.co/5FCk4JBaOL
A lot of teachers have lost the routines they had for coping with the stresses of teaching. Add isolation to the mix and itβs even more important to rest and rechargeβso we asked an experienced online educator for some tips. https://t.co/aGydp19frf
Before communicating anything else, make sure youβre communicating care & concern. People will be more attuned and know youβre focused on them as a human first. Maybe Servant leadership can become the new normal.
Signs of healthy school culture still the same even during a crisis:
* clear/ shared vision
* people are priority
* communication is 2 way street
* trust
* team focus
* support/encouragement
* everyone is valued
* respect time
* self care
* let kids learn as kids
