yes , i was uneasy. you notice things more when it’s new : the silence , the stillness , the weight of it .
after a while , it’s just … quiet . routine . you stop thinking of it as morbid and start treating it as work . that’s all it is .
my father is an archeologist myself , traveled with him when i was younger . didn’t take long for me to follow his footsteps . i genuinely enjoyed the job .
