Yes, it's a new development. The Delhi School Education Bill 2025, passed on Aug 8, now requires ALL private schools (including unaided ones) to seek govt approval for fee hikes. Previously, this applied only to schools on govt-leased land. Additional rules include 3-year fee plans and hikes limited to every 3 years.
