What Trump clearly fails to understand in all of this is that his "peace in the Middle East" doesn't survive if the Iranian regime survives... - there's a reason the proxy forces chant "Death to America, Death to Israel".

And as for how his conduct will appear in history books... if he doesn't take steps to remove the Ayatollah and his henchmen after telling the Iranian people that "help is on the way", it will be such a significant betrayal that it could be a set back to the image of the USA on the world stage for the next 250 years...

Not to mention that Russia, China and North Korea are all watching and will plan their own counter-US efforts accordingly...
