even as i got up to leave, he still followed me for a few minutes telling me he hopes to see me again after today. isn't it obvious that i'm weirded the fuck out and scared shitless of him? like what the fuck
i was even willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when he sat right beside me (he's a stranger and there were plenty of other chairs around us btw), but him interrupting my reading even as i clearly didn't want to talk and proceeding to ask personal questions was too much.
i just gotta say though rather than hating shauna i feel like people just didn't like the way she was written in the latest season? everyone knew that she's about to reach her breaking point after all her losses, but the writers could've executed it way better than that.
"Yellowjackets" star Melanie Lynskey on the double standard that her character, Shauna, faces:
“I know that she’s kind of a tyrant, but the loss that she’s suffered and the psychosis that she’s under, it’s really intense...The way that people talk about women and men has been very interesting because people delight in men as villains. But I think, especially when a woman is a mother, there’s this other set of expectations. Then people are like, ‘She’s not even a very good mother.’ Well, guess what? Some people aren’t.”
