Truthfully and honestly, I think there’s a laziness issue when it comes to discovering artists.

Sure visibility can be a issue, but we need to dig deeper. We need to go beyond looking for artists outside a shill thread or a momentary RT in our face.

We need to check other people’s likes and interests. We need to check out artist’s websites and look at their portfolio.

We need to escape our own bubble and connect with other communities. We need to stop waiting for other people to do the work for us.

And If someone recommends an artist to us, look into their recommendation. It’s probably for a reason.

I did not need people to tell me what’s “good” art.

I listened to myself and my own intuition.

When you’re early to an artist and their art speaks to you, take a chance.

Believe in them when others aren’t looking their way.
