Four more classes @vvpskenora learned w/ the @CanGeoEdu Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada giant map before its time in Kenora concluded this afternoon (ending w/ yet another request to bring it back to @KPDSB_Schools). So much #KPDSBpride in seeing this learning & teaching.
W/ their teacher @kwiat05 & the @CanGeoEdu map, the @vvpskenora gr 5 students learned about significant First Nations, Métis & Inuit events, animal habitat and climate issues. Their prior knowledge and critical thinking made for an excellent learning time w/ the map! #KPDSBpride
This morning, the @CanGeoEdu Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada giant floor map was warmly welcomed by @vvpskenora students and staff! As the students unrolled it, I overheard the joy & interest of one child who said, “I just can’t wait to learn with this today!” #KPDSBpride
