@qatarairways has now quoted IATA rule for excess luggage but has yet to take responsibility for their customer service agent providing the incorrect information. Here is my reply. #customerservicefail#airlines#qatarairways

@qatarairways has now in writing confirmed the rule that was followed for the charge i.e. IATA means that's why Qatar excess luggage rates was applied. They are yet to take responsibility for the misinformation saying that JAL rules apply. #CustomerServiceFail#QatarAirways
Hi @qatarairways Do you have a customer service SLA for resolutions? Should customers be able to rely on the information provided by your CS team? As per my complaint filed May 1, it's now been over a month with no resolution #customerService#airlines

Received written confirmation from #JAL that they followed @qatarairways excess baggage policy—not JAL rules, as advised by Qatar CS. Still waiting for @qatarairways to respond on how they will address this misinformation and the resulting cost.

Still no resolution. JAL says they follow Qatar’s rules. Qatar says JAL is responsible. Circular deflection with no accountability while my bag is still in Japan & I paid the price of another ticket in excess fees. #CustomerServiceFail#QatarCodeShare#JALCodeShare@qatarairways

From my archive this week: As the world mourns the environmentalist and photographer Sebastião Salgado, a tour through his some of his work with the inimitable artist himself.
Has anyone else experienced Qatar and JAL providing contradictory information on baggage rules on code share flights #qatarairways#JAL#codeshareconfusion ?
I’ve been trying to get clarity from @qatarairways and @JAL_Official_jp about a confusing excess baggage charge on a codeshare flight. Staff gave conflicting info and I was overcharged. Still waiting for a proper resolution. #customerService
@qatarairways@JAL_Official_jp Thank you for the update. This is now the third time I’ve been told my case has been escalated, with no resolution or response after 3 weeks. I would appreciate a clear timeline for when I will receive a formal reply and resolution.
