JWALA ( ज्वाला ) is India’s first indigenously developed private-sector micro-missile.

It is being developed by IG Defence, Odisha-based start-up.

It is a Short-Range Surface-to-Air Missile.

Engagement Range: 2-5 km extended short-range engagement envelope.

Engagement Altitude: 50 m to 5,000 m cruise to high-altitude targets.

Warhead: 0.5–1.5 kg pre-fragmented high-explosive (HE) with a proximity fuze.

It is engineered specifically as a "hard-kill" interceptor to physically destroy hostile drones/UAVs, offering a highly cost-effective alternative to traditional, expensive air-defence missiles.

JWALA missile does not operate in isolation. It serves as the physical effector within IG Defence’s wider GRID Defend ecosystem.
