In the last 4 years, 50-100 people have left the church I pastor to join different churches in the area (some for good reasons and some for bad reasons). It's been a great 4 years with many more than that joining us but I wanted to share this because pastors should expect it.
Twitter has become a Cesspool of complaining, belly aching, and all out display of crybabyism. Ancient Christians are disgraced by the weakness of what I read here daily. “Take up your cross” is not a comfort measure, and it’s most certainly not conjoined to most of these posts.
I’m proud to be Baptist but the things going on in SBC are a good example of why folks are getting tired of denominationalism - as for me and my church, we will serve the Lord.
The greatest threat to the church today...
Liberalism? Biden?
Covid? Trump?
Lockdowns?
Conspiracies? Masks?
Anyone want to throw in travel ball that consumes some church members time, energy and money half the year? 😬 or naaah?
@kpcampmama I agree. Either they’re not taking time to read the facts, or simply don’t care to show empathy nor compassion if it is outside the box of their “norm”
I keep waiting for a select few pastors from Texas to declare the weather there as judgment from God like they did with the Louisiana and Florida disasters.
We don’t need a two party system in our convention were we have to give a response to every statement made by the other group. What we need is a single focus on the lost souls that needed to see unity in the Body of Christ! Remember family the World is watching!!!
@PapaJohns = worse customer service I’ve ever experienced. Haines city FL. I’ll post the thread of nonsense from insta later. It’s been a month waiting for 1) manger then 2) owner to call. Nothing. It’s poor.
