It was interesting to learn in this article that most people who use social media do not address social and political issues. I was more surprised about social issues not being addressed as often. https://t.co/kwPrU42DIk #MC576
@emilylang0 Hi Emily,
I enjoyed your article! I find it interesting that only 64% of people feel that social media has a negative impact on how things happen in the U.S. I feel like the percentage would be more.
This is an example of agenda building. There are many crises going on currently, but the problem in Russia and Ukraine is still happening. Russia has had its people protesting Putin's actions, causing over a thousand people to be arrested. https://t.co/KByJbvweJo #MC576
@EdenBrockman It is eye-opening to see how much worldwide news is not covered in the United States. I never had thought about how much other countries see U.S. media since we do not see their news from our side. I would have not known about the crisis in Yemen if I didn't see your tweet.
@JohnnaTumberger Hi Johnna, I have heard nothing about what has been going on in Libya. I also never saw any news or remember seeing any coverage of the death of their dictator. I agree that this is very important information that has been pushed away by agenda-building.
This article explains how Russia is still attacking Ukraine and is trying to shell Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Agenda-building is shown in this article because it was not covered in the United States. #MC576
