Today is Human Rights Day, commemorating the 76th anniversary of the introduction of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We will continue to advocate for the values of the UDHR to be recognised here in WA, and hope that a Human Rights Act will soon be a reality!
Congratulations to @wa4hra co-convenor Chloe Wood. One of three finalists in the Law Society of Western Australia's 2024 Lawyer of the Year Awards.

Australia needs an economy that invests in #HumanRights. As we face challenges like exploding inequalities & #ClimateChange – an #AusHumanRightsAct together with state/territory Human Rights Acts can provide a framework for actions that don’t leave anyone behind

WA4HRA welcomes the launch of a Parliamentary Inquiry into Australia’s human rights framework and a future federal Human Rights Act. It’s time for WA to get on board - we need our own Act to ensure the rights of Western Australians are protected. @MarkMcGowanMP
Great news from @MarkDreyfusKCMP who is launching a parliamentary inquiry into a Federal Charter of Human Rights. @MarkMcGowanMP it’s time for WA to get on board and introduce its own Human Rights Act!
