No matter how much luxury you typically live in, it is extremely beneficial to camp for a week or two.
Semi-permanently resets your delicacy level.
People who have never done this often think they would do fine but really struggle after 2-3 nights out.
@0x3639 And just like in 2008 they will sit on it until the market turns or monetary inflation happens to a sufficient degree to mitigate their paper losses. They aren’t threatened existentially with these losses. And residential mortgage fraud/crisis was far more widespread in 2008.
@LawStud0842619@Empty_America The Romans cleared the sea of piracy before any of that happened and that was somewhat of an ahistorical aberration. The historical norm is coastal raids and natural catastrophies near the shore. You want to go inland.
I like the post but I guess I have to quibble a bit.
The propensity to deliberately site prestigious private homes by the ocean is fairly recent, as is recreational/aesthetic interest in beaches in general.
Forgotten past. No one used to care about the beach.
After a few days of downtime we are back in sync with the @Zenon_Network
Huge thanks to all the devs involved in identifying, fixing, testing and releasing the patch, this truly is a community run project 👽

@TheBlueMatt I was curious to get your take on the @Zenon_Network released codebase on GitHub.
Seems like a lot of interesting nascent things being built here. (Still seems a WIP obvs)

Believe it or not, Megan Rapinoe’s missed penalty kick that led to the worst USA women’s World Cup finish in history was *not* the team’s most humiliating performance.
In 2017, the women’s team thought it would be a good idea to play Dallas’ under 15 year old boys team.
They lost 5 - 2.
Maybe instead of spending so much time whining about their country the team should focus on practicing soccer.
