Eid Mubarak!
Today as we honor Prophet Ibrahim, Eid al-Adha reminds us that sacrifice is not a burden. It is an opportunity to see ourselves as part of something larger. To extend a hand to those who need it most.
I am honored to be New York City's first Muslim Mayor and I am determined to lead through solidarity. Together, we are working to ensure every New Yorker can afford the groceries, housing, and child care they need.
Our solidarity is our strength. Eid Saeed, New York.
The Plaintiff has never challenged the heritage of the school. He's simply saying your right to continue your methodist indoctrination can coexist with the right of other taxpayer's children to exercise their religious rights. It's not too hard to understand.
in fact this 1961 education act literally made it a crime to compel a student to practice a faith that is not of their choosing.
is it really the case to be made that we should be retrogressing from these 1961 ideals?
@MrMekzy_ When I was a boy, I knew a Collins.
when this boy is even taken a shit and you ask for a piece of his shit, he will cover it and say “mema wo”
What you’re circulating is not “Islamic slavery.” It is a colonial-era video filmed by French and Belgian administrators, not Muslims, not Arabs, and not an Islamic legal system. The footage comes from European ethnographic archives, produced during a period when Europe ran the largest, wealthiest, and deadliest slave system in human history.
If you are genuinely concerned about slavery, start with the historical record:
1. Islam did NOT invent slavery — it REFORMED and RESTRICTED an already-global institution
Slavery existed in every civilization long before Islam:
– Rome
– Greece
– Persia
– Byzantium
– Africa
– India
– Europe
Islam did not introduce slavery, but it transformed it:
✔︎ Prohibited kidnapping and enslavement
✔︎ Made manumission a virtue & expiation
✔︎ Gave legal personhood to the enslaved
✔︎ Forbade racial superiority (Qur’an 49:13)
✔︎ Outlawed the sexual brutality practiced in Rome/Europe
✔︎ Encouraged emancipation and social integration
This is why free Black Muslims such as Bilāl, ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ, Nusaybah, Umm Ayman, Makhūl, and many others became scholars, generals, governors, and saints. Show me the equivalent in European Christendom.
2. Your claim of “Arab Islamic slavery” removing organs or castrating men is a European slander, not Islamic law
No Islamic scholar, no Islamic legal school (Mālikī, Ḥanafī, Shāfiʿī, Ḥanbalī), and no Qur’anic verse ever permitted:
✘ castration
✘ mutilation
✘ breeding of slaves
✘ racial enslavement
All are explicitly forbidden in Islam (aḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ibn Ḥajar, al-Nawawī).
If mutilation occurred in some regions, it was:
– tribal practice, not Islamic
– often carried out by non-Muslim intermediaries
– condemned by Muslim jurists
But you dishonestly label every African victim in a historical photo “Islamic” because the aggressor wears a turban. By that logic, every atrocity done by a bearded white man is “Christian teaching.”
3. The West committed the only truly racialized slave system in human history
Facts:
Atlantic slave trade:
– 60+ million Africans captured
– 12.5 million shipped
– 2 million died in the Middle Passage
– Chattel slavery based on race
– Legalized rape
– Breeding farms
– Lynching
– Eugenics
– Jim Crow
– Segregation
Islamic law:
– No racial distinction
– Slavery non-hereditary
– Manumission encouraged
– Marriage permitted
– Enslaved = legal persons
– Children = free, not slaves
Your own ancestors enslaved Africans for profit, erased their languages, erased their identities, and built your economies on their bodies.
But today you post propaganda clips and pretend to be a moral authority?
4. If you truly believed this video was “Islamic,” you would identify it — but you can’t
Because:
✔︎ It is not Arab
✔︎ It is not Islamic
✔︎ It is not from the Muslim world
✔︎ It is early 20th-century colonial footage used for racist anthropology
The goal was to portray Africans as “primitive” to justify European rule — the exact narrative you are repeating now.
5. Islam’s record is clear: anti-racism is a divine command
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab nor for a non-Arab over an Arab, except in piety.”
(Aḥmad)
“Your Lord is One, and your father is one.”
(Abū Dāwūd)
And he appointed Black commanders over Arab armies — a historical impossibility in Europe until the 20th century.
⸻
The video you posted is colonial European footage, not Islamic law.
Your argument collapses because it relies on:
– mislabeling
– emotional manipulation
– historical ignorance
– and a deep desire to project Western crimes onto Islam
If you truly want to “remember horrors,” begin with your own. Islam doesn’t need to borrow guilt from Europe.
Stop rewriting history. Islam is not the source of racism — it is one of the earliest systems that dismantled it.
