this has nothing to do with 1960s music as much as i miss talking about them with my little online social circle from years ago like does anyone here even give a fuck about You Are The Biggest Thing Since Powdered Milk anymore
(guy who just remembered he liked to talk about music and it’s all he did online for like 10+ years before gainful employment) and another thing is budgie still kicks ass
i guess it doesn’t really count the same since they’re a “supergroup” but i would argue cream and its members respectively have far surpassed the cultural staying power of their original bands to where MAYBE minus clapton theyre known for being in cream

people rightfully mention that comparisons of most 60’s bands to the beatles are impossible because of the beatles short career but if anyone speedran a perfect discography it was cream. put out 3 perfect albums (and one near perfect) in 3 years and dipped
the way some of you guys talk about music just feels like you’re desperate to have like an original or contrarian take so you’ll just straight up make something up
@bhaalism i genuinely think of them as one of my favorite bands and will go years without listening to them and then like have a 1-6 month period where they are ALL i listen to like hypnotically. compulsively even. i love you the doors
let’s talk about the doors anyone want to talk about the doors. even though the soft parade was a big departure its one of my favorite doors albums because it feels so uniquely chaotic in a way none of their more experimental stuff does and john densmore is a drum genius
