@kylenicholask I agree about tolvanen being a good add for the #nhljets but I also think we need to trade hellebuyck to fill our glaring needs. We can win without Hellebuyck.
@cdndreamma36441@NHLJets@jamiethomas According to insider David Pagnotta, no deal for Laine is close. None. Not even a whisper of one. That tells you everything about where his stock sits right now, doesn't it?
@NikLynam At this point it's a distraction for the off season. If we can get a big haul to fill the voids in our roster and get a goalie like UPL I think we will do fine
@ChrisCollins888 If we are so insisting on bringing back laine it would have to be a league minimum. Waste of a roster spot imo. We're meant to be fast not get slower. He looks like he's skating in quick sand most of the time.
@MStetski451@NHLJets Laine has played 5 games in the last year and barely cleared 60 in any season for five years. That’s not a 'missing piece,' that’s a liability. We need players who are actually available for the 82-game grind. Pass. #NHLJets
@WPGJ0CUPS Hopefully Stanley signs elsewhere. We need to stop looking in the rearview mirror and embrace the new direction. Ferraro is a solid piece, and I’m ready to see this D-core turn the page. I hope Logan gets his 5x5 in a new city preferably far away from Winnipeg
@DarrenMetselaar Hard to get excited about Laine when the stats show he’s barely played in half a decade. 5 games last season, and constant back issues or injuries that’s not the answer for a team trying to get better. Availability is a skill, and unfortunately, he hasn't shown it in a long time
@ChrisCollins888 I think we need to look past the name value here. Reality is that Laine played only 5 games last season, hasn’t managed to play even 60 games in any of the last 5 seasons. We can’t realistically expect him to make this roster better if he’s only available for a handful of games.
@MalGeo3@NHLJets Hard pass on Laine. The durability just isn't there—he’s played fewer than 60 games total over the last five seasons. We need guys who can actually stay on the ice, not a project player who is going to spend half the year rehabbing his back. Time to look elsewhere
@JoeyFr33dom Laine is young, sure, but what does he actually bring to the table that we couldn't find in a more productive free agent? There’s a reason he’s been moved around the league as much as he has
