There have been a lot of great eulogies for Sonny Rollins, but this is one of my favorites.
A fantastic summation of not just Rollins' peerless body of work, but his empathy, generosity, spiritual essence, creative awareness, and improvisatory genius.

British journalist releases book on linguicide featuring Ukraine
British journalist and blogger Sophia Smith Galer has released her book titled "How to Kill a Language", which explores global linguicide and the destruction of languages. A dedicated chapter in the book focuses specifically on the Ukrainian language.
To accompany the release, the journalist shared a video on her Instagram page about the linguicide of the Ukrainian language, highlighting the #KyivNotKiev campaign. She explains that for centuries, the Russian Empire and the USSR systematically pushed the Ukrainian language out of education, politics and public life.
Following 1991, Ukraine had only a little over 30 years to revive its language before Russia initiated war once again. The book is scheduled to be published in Ukrainian soon.
