The #SecondCreekFire continues to show minimal growth, primarily consuming remaining interior fuels. Drone overflights show limited heat signatures. All evacuations have been dropped as of 4p. Fire estimated at 80 acres, 38% containment. Final update unless significant changes.

US 97 Blewett Pass has reopened Thursday (9/5) morning. There is flagger-controlled traffic with pilot car at the summit (milepost 164-165) due to continued fire activity. Please be patient and do not pass or pull over in this section and be alert for fire and maintenance crews.
