"Reading the World" is a new documentary about Paulo Freire, the acclaimed Brazilian educator whose revolutionary approach to teaching connected literacy to critical thinking and democratic participation.

It draws on rare archival footage of 1960s Brazil and weaves together the memories of farmers, students and educators who took part in Freire’s culture circles, his method of teaching adults to read in as little as 40 hours by drawing on their own lives, communities and experiences.

“Paulo Freire was one of the most influential educators of the past century and is still widely studied all around the world. But the studies often focus on his ideas, his philosophies, his books, and much less is known about his original praxis,” says co-director Catherine Murphy.

The liberal hops on the back of Palestinian pain and rides that wave as he makes a name for himself, and money. He is the confident one speaking before an audience, while Basel, dignified and strong, is nervous, because state systems of supremacy produce internal, intangible personal realities, just as they produce material disparities. Basel and his family were generous and welcoming of Yuval, but Yuval has a long way to go before he is worthy of them. There can be no place in the world for zionism anymore, liberal or otherwise.

Marlene Dietrich was German, but she denounced the Nazi atrocities during World War 2 and publicly sided with the Allies. The Germans never forgave her, but in the hearts of free men and women, she will forever be honored. Would that today's Germans learn the real meaning of moral courage. BREAKING: ISraeli F-16 kills 50, incl 5 medical staff, reports Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan hospital:

"There are approximately 50 martyrs, including three of our medical staff, under the rubble of a building opposite Kamal Adwan Hospital after an airstrike by the occupying forces.

Dr. Ahmed Samour, a pediatrician, was working in the hospital and went out to the tower where he lives with his family.

As for Esraa, the laboratory technician, she went out to bring food for her father and brother in the same building, and they were immediately targeted in a airstrike from an Israeli F-16.

When Fares, the maintenance technician, saw the scene, he rushed to try to rescue what he could; unfortunately, he was also targeted, resulting in the martyrdom of three of our medical staff and 50 others under the rubble.

As for the paramedics, Abdul Majid and Maher, they were on their way to the hospital near Zayed Roundabout, which is 500 meters from the hospital, when they were targeted and martyred instantly, and their bodies remain in the street where no one can reach them.

It is another dark day in the ongoing series of crimes against Kamal Adwan Hospital and its staff."
