Powers of 10 are "more logical" & "more scientific" only when performing calculations long hand using Arabic numerals.

Imperial units favor a base of 12, it's factors/multiples, which still works better for mental calculation. Computers are naturally base 2 but can swallow any numeric data you throw at them.

The "scientific" metric system, optimized for the niche 18th century technology of manually doing arithmetic on paper is the only system which is genuinely obsolete.
