Someone thought it'd be a good idea to use a water storage tank as a load bearing support. Or the building settled so much and sank in the middle, eventually landing on the water storage tank. Probably one of the more dangerous buildings I have entered. #dontwaiveyourinspection

2 air samples taken in the same spot, minutes apart. 1 has the mini-split off, 1 with it running. Can you tell the difference? Why running an HVAC and keeping it above 70 deg F when taking an air sample makes a difference.

Older bldgs constructed mid-20th c/earlier typically utilized two-wire ungrounded circuits. It's crucial to check for a bootleg or false ground,= hazardous condition: the ground and neutral are improperly connected, creating a misleading/unsafe grounding setup. Get it evaluated!

This is because the ducts are often undersized, loosely supported, or not designed for the higher airflow and pressure of the new equipment. Unfortunately, this flexing can loosen seams, worsen air leaks, and increase vibration and noise at registers and boots. #oldhouse #hvac

Continued exposure to this excessive heat can cause the plastic lines to soften, degrade, or fail prematurely, risking sudden, significant water damage. The plastic drain trap assembly also poses a melting hazard, which could lead to sewer gas intrusion or leaks.

This gas fireplace wall exhaust vent terminates too close below a vented soffit, which inadvertently acts as a vacuum for the hot exhaust rising from below. This can lead to the accumulation of carbon monoxide within the home.
