Women, If your BIood Group has a Negative sign beside it (A-, B-, AB-, O-), read along...

It simply means your bIood group is Rh negative & getting pregnant for a man whose bIood is Rh+ could mean PROBLEMS for future Pregnancies.

Let's assume that after getting pregnant for your soul mate who has Rh+, the child's blood group is Rh+, your body cells will approach the Rh+ protein as a foreign body.

If blood cells from your baby crosses to your bloodstream, which can happen during pregnancy, labor, delivery, or during an abortion or a miscarriage.

Your immune system will make Rh-antibodies against your baby’s blood cells. (Remember, antibodies protect your body against foreign bodies & infections).

Once you have made these antibodies we say you are "Sensitized."

Your body might send these antibodies to attack your baby's blood cells and then, it destroys them. A condition termed as Hemolytic Disease of the Newborn (HDN)

When your baby’s healthy blood (RBCs) are destroyed, bilirubin starts building up in their bloodstream.

Bilirubin in excess is harmful to the baby, especially the brain and eye.

Severe cases in which the effects of Rh incompatibility aren’t prevented, can result in severe complications such as:

📍Brain damage to the baby, which is known as kernicterus
📍Jaundice, a yellowing of the skin & whites of the eyes
📍Fluid buildup or swelling in the baby
📍May be limp because of the low muscle tone
📍May not suck enough breast milk well
📍Blood levels will be low (anemia)
📍Trouble with mental function, movement, hearing and speech
📍Seizures
📍Heart failure
📍Death of the baby can also occur
