I’m not really involved in the current ao3 drama but I think people are way too comfortable with being upset at authors for what /how they write.
Just don’t click on it brother.
i promise you that it is okay if you dislike something and that made you avoid or ignore certain places. no one will be mad at you. but i think its not okay for you to invading only to be mad and angry about it then harass people over fictional things 😭 get a grip 😭 (4/4)
(🥪 – rant) akhir-akhir ini diskusi terkait fandom terutama fan fiction/aus jadi agak ngeri juga ya. banyak yang invading some places only to say that the place is heinous when the process of creating said place itself are made by heinous people... jadi maunya apa. (1/4)
i said its ‘heinous’ because i agree that it is bad. it is taboo. hence why its called fiction and for some media its an alternate universe. its not real at all. some people need to see, learn, and deal with harmless discomforts 😭 (3/4)
respectfully, I think some of you guys shouldn’t be participating in fandom at all, actually. if you don’t like when others are involved in creative projects that are different from the canonical text then it’s best to consume media like the general public.
fanfics and shippers are literally the blueprint of any fandom. if rps isnt your cup of tea, just ignore and move on. its not that deep but yall keep boosting the algorithm like actually obsessed. ah ga ngotak
i don’t understand the sudden hate towards fanfic writers in the fandom. “they left and nothing happened” yeah, fanfic is not essantial for the artists or their journey. it’s a choice. but just because you don’t enjoy choco cake served to you for free doesn’t mean others can’t.
AU stands for ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE. If you see an au where a character is in a situation you think they’d never be in, it is because this is a specific alternate timeline where they are. That’s the whole point of aus and you guys are genuinely just being annoying now
