🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING: A federal judge just sentenced a former Navy Reservist to FOUR years in prison for storming the Capitol on January 6 and interrupting an official Congressional proceeding in order to keep Donald Trump in power.
The judge reprimanded him in court:
"It seems to me you've gone down a rabbit hole of darkness and extremism over the past several years," judge McFadden said.
Hatchet Speed, a former Navy Reserves petty officer first class previously stationed at the National Reconnaissance Office in Chantilly, Virginia, was convicted in a March bench trial of one felony count of obstruction of an official proceeding and four misdemeanor charges. Speed's term of service with the Navy Reserves expired in November.
U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden ordered Speed to at a $10,000 fine and $2,000 in restitution.
McFadden, who served as a deputy assistant attorney general before being nominated to the federal bench in 2017 by former President Donald Trump, said Speed's anti-Semitic motivations for trying to stop the certification of the election were especially troubling to him.
@TheWTFNation TC: Look out of your window, Private.
Driver: Yes, Sergeant
TC: Do you see the exit to the parking lot?
D: Yes, Sergeant
TC: That’s where you need to go
D: Yes, Sergeant <steps on gas>
BAM!!
TC: What we’re you looking at?
D: The exit, like you told me to, Sergeant.
This village idiot has completely lost his mind. Why he is even in the spotlight right now and doing all these rallies and considered the front runner for the next election is an absolute joke. They don’t let felons become President. At this point, I am just shaking my head and laughing at his tom foolery. He’s making a mockery of himself, the country, and the elite office of the President of the United States.
@joncoopertweets The amount of crimes Trump committed is astounding. The Republican Party is trying to protect him at all costs. The number of people who keep voting for them is amazing.
In case you missed Joe Biden’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner last night, and only saw the highlights of him embracing the Dark Brandon meme, here are some of his his quotes that caught my attention.
"I'd call Fox 'Honest, fair and truthful.' But then I'd be sued for defamation.”
"Look, I get that age is a completely reasonable issue… You might think I don't like Rupert Murdoch. That's simply not true. How can I dislike a guy who makes me look like Harry Styles?"
“In a lot of ways, this dinner sums up my first two years in office: I’ll talk for 10 minutes, take zero questions and cheerfully walk away.”
"You say I'm over the hill, Don Lemon would say, ‘That's a man in his prime.’”
“I had a lot of Ron DeSantis jokes ready, but Mickey Mouse beat the hell out of me, he got there first,”
"Lies told for profit and power. Lies and conspiracy and malice repeated over and over again, designed to generate a cycle of anger, hate and even violence.”
Did you like or dislike anything particular that Biden said last night?
Last night on Bill Maher, Elon Musk was a guest, and he was asked about what Maher referred to as the "woke mind virus." I personally believe that wokeness can, in some cases, be taken too far, but America also suffers from the anti-woke mind virus," which those on the right won't admit. I'll explain...
Elon had a response which I partially agree with and partially disagree with. He said that we must protect free speech, and that "for those who advocate censorship, at some point it will turn on you." He also attacked "cancel culture."
Elon gave an example of what he believes is the "woke mind virus." His example was about a friend of his whose daughters go to school in the Bay area. His friend asked his daughters who the first three Presidents of the United States were, and they could name George Washington. When he asked them what they knew about Washington, they could only say that he was a slave owner. Elon believes they should know more than that.
Yes, those girls should absolutely know more facts about George Washington, but what many of those on the right do is try and ban books and curriculums from schools which teach that Washington was a slave owner. They do this under the guise of "Critical Race Theory." That's a big problem too! That's the anti-woke mind virus and there are numerous examples everywhere.
For example, a book, based on a true story, about two male penguins who raise a baby together is banned from school libraries under the guise of "grooming" or because it's seemingly pro-LGBTQ+.
So yes, wokeness can go too far, but so too can anti-wokeness form the right. Cancel culture is propagated from the right just as much as it is from the left. Censorship is pushed from the right as well as the left.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
