I wish I could favorite my top conversations in the #Hinge dating app. With #ADHD it's really difficult to keep up with all the different conversations going on. I accidentally forget to message back some of the ones I have a good connection with. And good timing is everything.
@JayR_Xx@AskADHD This was literally the first time I ever met with them. I was expecting a thorough test over a few sessions or at least a referral to a psych who would do that.
@JJdisarray I would trade places with you if I could! I didn't really want medication, just validation that I actually have ADHD and I'm not deluding myself.
@AutisticGothic Kind strangers/acquaintances + my ability to be on people's good sides helped me out a lot during very tough times in my life. I've always made an alliance with someone who was able to help me out of the pit.
I'm also good at figuring out work arounds in unfavorable situations.
@YourFemaleEng Depends on what the environment/culture at this new place is like. I've got it pretty good where I'm at so it would probably take $40-60k more to pull me away (not unheard of in my industry).
If the environment is terrible though, no amount of money is going to sway me.
@NicoleLewisLCSW Hmm. I don't remember going to churches that were blatantly racist. They could have been behind the scenes and I just didn't know it.
My dad, grandfather, and other people I knew who DIDN'T go to church were the ones I remember perpetuating a culture of racism.
@jscottnetworker I had two! One in college and one right after college. I can't remember their names but I really loved their approach with me. Wish I could find another therapist like those two again.
@AdultingADHD Okay noooo. I kept pill samples I was given a year ago from a doctor in case I needed them - even though I thought I never would. And NOW I need them and am so glad I didn't just throw them in the trash because the non-samples are expensive.
