I absolutely hate when people complain about this scene because it “killed the show,” when it didn’t. What “killed” the show was the following story being lackluster for most viewers. And the scene being so gruesome and gut-wrenching was absolutely necessary at the time. 🧵

Not only that, but it was a reminder to the audience that no one in the show is, or ever will be safe. Glenn was always going to die this way because of how 1:1 the show was going with the comics, and because Steven Yeun expressed how he wanted his character to die that same way.

Whoever this is, Dark Voyager pledges undying allegiance. For me, the most interesting part is that Voyager works specifically for a "someone". Not a group of people, but...someone. Given The Order's sudden desire to check a couple things, I wonder if she recognized who this might be...perhaps her father, Geno? 🤔

On the other hand, "I won't fail you" implies others have failed this being in the past. The Cube Queen, The Cube King, and the Herald have all failed the Nothing in helping it achieve exactly what it desires. Perhaps, Dark Voyager is somehow communicating DIRECTLY to The Nothing here...but it begs the question why he'd need a channel to do so. 📺
