Africa is stepping forward.
ABH 2026 has officially received applications from all 54 countries in Africa.
Beyond a milestone, this is a signal.
A signal that entrepreneurs across the continent are rising, building, and taking their place in shaping Africa’s future today.
Last year, around 32,000 founders from all 54 countries applied to ABH.
This year, the momentum is only growing.
Across Africa, the next generation of builders is stepping up.
If you haven’t applied yet, this is your moment.
Your country is already in. Now the question is, will you step forward?
Apply to ABH 2026 today at https://t.co/5rdGAjx1JS
Applications close April 28.
Are you holding back from applying… or just waiting for a sign?
Many of our heroes felt the same way. They thought they weren’t ready yet, that their business was still too small, too early.
But they applied anyway.
And that one decision changed everything.
They went on to win a share of $1.5 million in grant funding, gained mentorship, and stepped onto a platform that helped them grow and scale.
Building a business in Africa isn’t easy. But sometimes, the hardest part is taking that first step.
If this feels like your sign, don’t ignore it.

Community is what sustains entrepreneurs.
That’s one of the biggest lessons Yvette Ishimwe, ABH 2021 Top 10 Hero and Founder & CEO of @IribaWaterGroup , took from her Africa’s Business Heroes journey.
Based in Rwanda, Yvette is tackling one of the continent’s most urgent challenges. Through Iriba Water Group, she is providing safe, clean water to communities and schools using innovative and climate-smart solutions.
Many people think ABH is mainly about the prize, the Grand Finale, or the funding. But for many founders, the experience goes much deeper.
For Yvette, the ABH community became an invaluable source of inspiration, support, and shared learning.
Building a business in Africa that solves real problems requires more than capital. It requires a community of founders who challenge you, inspire you, and grow alongside you.
If you’re an entreprenuer like Yvette, looking for funding, mentorship and a community of entrepreneurs who will challenge your thinking, and help you grow, Africa’s Business Heroes is the platform for you.
Applications for ABH 2026 are now open.

Meet the women shaping Africa's future.
This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women entrepreneurs turning bold ideas into businesses that transform communities.
Over the past seven years, we have seen what happens when women entrepreneurs receive the platform they deserve. More than half of our Grand Prize winners and over 40% of our Top 10 Heroes are women. They represent diverse industries and professions, building businesses that address some of Africa’s most pressing challenges.
This year’s theme, Give to Gain, reflects the spirit of the Africa’s Business Heroes community, where founders support one another, share knowledge, and grow together. If you are a woman entrepreneur building something meaningful, this could be your moment.

What does Africa look like in 10 years?
We asked our 2025 Top 10 Heroes to share the future they are building toward. Their answers were nothing but full of hope and belief. They see a continent that is more integrated, where African entrepreneurs are solving African challenges at scale, and growth is driven from within.
Africa’s Business Heroes exists to support founders who are building toward this future. Through funding, mentorship, and a powerful pan-African network, ABH gives entrepreneurs the platform to scale their impact across borders.
Applications for ABH 2026 are open now.

Rejection forces belief to grow.
At the 2025 Africa’s Business Heroes Summit, Wawira Njiru, Founder and CEO of Food4Education, spoke about the rejections she faced early on in her journey. But she kept trying until one cold application went through. That single yes changed her trajectory. It provided capital, but more importantly, it restored belief.
Today, Food4Education feeds over 600,000 children daily, transforming nutrition, education outcomes, and local economies in Kenya.
Africa's Business Heroes exists to create such defining moments of affirmation and belief for African founders.
Applications for ABH 2026 open March 3. If you are building something that matters, this could be your moment to get the funding and support you need to scale.

Over the years, @emirates has steadily and strategically expanded its operations to Entebbe, evolving to meet growing customer demand.
The service began with three weekly flights, initially linked via Nairobi and later Addis Ababa..
#FlyBetter#Emirates
Today, as @emirates celebrate this milestone, they are not only reflecting on where they’ve come from, but also looking ahead to the future.
They’re excited to showcase the next chapter of our #FlyBetter experience as we tour our fully refurbished Boeing 777-300
#Emirates
The Emirates began operations with the Airbus A330-200, later upgrading to the Boeing 777-200, and then to the Boeing 777-300. Over the years, they have carried millions of passengers and hundreds of thousands of tonnes of cargo.
#FlyBetter#Emirates
As you step onboard, I noticed a refreshed cabin design featuring refined materials, elegant finishes, and the beautiful Ghaf tree motif, which holds deep significance. The Ghaf tree, the national tree of the UAE, symbolizes resilience and life.

What I have learnt today;-
This aircraft has undergone a complete transformation, from nose to tail. Every seat, every detail, and every part of the cabin has been upgraded to the latest standards, redefining comfort and elegance in air travel.

Today, Entebbe is alive again, with 2.2 million passengers last year, cargo volumes up, and 18 destinations connected across the region #EmiratesAt25 | #FlyBetter
“#Emirates presence enhances Uganda’s global connectivity, brings knowledge exchange, and supports corporate integration.”
That’s a recognition of aviation as an engine for trade, tourism & transformation #EmiratesAt25 | #FlyBetter
