@jaiyagill Survivorship bias. You have to account for all of the people of this height range who didn’t go on to found hugely successful companies.
This is way too small of a sample of founders to draw any conclusions with.
@cptdankkk What he should have said is that 200 million is a lot of money if managed properly. As an agent hopefully he offers to put his clients in touch with sound financial advisors.
Hardware is hard. It typically takes longer than one originally estimates. OpenAI has no history doing hardware. They’ve had a hard time doing small consumer products and are running behind on that.
Not saying they cannot do this, but I do think it will take longer than most people expect.
The risk to OpenAI is loss of focus and draining more resources. I wonder how much of this is also to draw investors before the IPO.
The company best positioned of course to do robots is Tesla.
@TheDunkCentral@NBA__Courtside At this point Rich Paul sounds more like the leader of a cult than any basketball agent or commentator. It’s embarrassing.
@realapp You know that LeBron is not the GOAT because his fans celebrate his losing efforts.
Many players have had great games in a loss.
Lebron has been a great player but he is not the GOAT or even close.
@DamienPetersNBA Ease of competition in the East. And jumping around teams and choosing very talented teammates to always be on a superteam.
But he lost most of them. When you are trying to talk about the highest echelons of the sport there are no participation trophies.
@AISpaceDecoder@markgurman Who said she’s Apple’s top AI talent? There’s no reason to assume that. In fact if she had a central role in the Siri they didn’t ship, then that don’t speak too well of her.
@MoryMagisSprts Rich Paul trying to do the ultimate gaslighting in basketball. It’s pathetic.
He knows that LeBron will never surpass Jordan in actual record or impact, so he has to resort to very weird mental gymnastics and spin.
@BryanEscobar__@SwaggyCTV@TheDunkCentral@HeatCulture13 LeBron won only with Wade, Kyrie, or AD. Without them he doesn’t win anything.
He knows that. That’s why he left Cleveland for the Heat. That’s why he left the Heat for Cleveland again. That’s why when he went to the Lakers he and Rich Paul engineered the deal that brought AD.
Most people don’t know about this car. Don’t confuse the discussion on X and other social media platforms with the broader population.
What most do know if anything at all is that the car has a negative impression. And that the impression is “blah.” Boring.
That won’t drive interest or attention.
@mustespresso@Jason It may not generate the crowds because it looks like any number of other EVs on the market. That’s the problem. It doesn’t look like a Ferrari.
Most casual observers wouldn’t recognize it from any other EV.
The key question is if those current Ferrari owners will want this. I’m not so sure about that.
Ferrari represents a certain aesthetic and tradition. This car doesn’t live up to that.
That being said, with the low number of these cars they will produce they very well may be able to sell them all.
Bingo. Too man people give Jony Ive way too much credit. They forget about Steve Jobs because Steve is no longer around.
But we see that the design genius at Apple was Steve. Jony was a nice collaborator for Steve but it was Steve who did most of the heavy lifting. No doubt he had the authority to keep Jony’s worst instincts in check. After Steve passed away Jony’s work has never been the same.
