Just spoke to a British national who travelled overland with his Ukrainian wife over the last two days and has just arrived back in the UK. He says a lot of Brits are refusing to leave Ukraine because they don't have faith the Home Office will allow their spouses to come over.

@lttwild Had a similar situation at a golf club with my partner. Lady asked where we were from so we said the UK & India but have been here 2yrs. This was around the time the virus from each country was doing funny mutating things. She immediately kicked us out 😅

What made the situation more bizarre is NZ had 0 cases of Covid at the time, we did not have to wear masks, and there was no physical way I could have entered the country since Covid 😂

I have ONLY just learnt that Germans were called "Jerrys" in WW2 because British soldiers were "Tommys" and so Tom and Jerry. HOW did I not know this?

@TheEmeraldDove This is mine too!!! One of my most vivid memories is lying on my living room floor reading the front of the newspaper, then seeing the interview with the school caretaker who ended up being the monster who murdered them 🤢

@orcadianabroad My partner and I won a couples photoshoot a few years ago. I was so awkward wearing what I thought I should as opposed to what I felt comfortable in, we didn't even bother going back to pick up the free prints they were so derpy 😂
