Two years in. Less grid. Less diesel. Zero regrets.
We checked in on this Lagos home today, deployed back in Q3 2024, and the owner said it plainly: since we switched him on, he barely leans on the grid and his gen-set mostly sits quiet.
That is what owning your power looks like.

FROM THE SKY TO THE GROUND🫡🪖:
Watch this video of how 7 Kidnapped Students were rescued alive in Ogun State! Hear the account of a rescued student, narrating how the rescue happened in real time while they were with the kidnappers.
Details:
Following the July 29 abduction in Ipara, Ogun State security forces, working with the DSS, Nigerian Army and other sister agencies, launched a coordinated rescue operation.
At Governor @DapoAbiodunCON’s request, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu approved critical aerial support that helped turn the tide. All 7 victims were rescued alive.
A 2:00 AM follow-up operation along the Sagamu–Abeokuta Expressway also neutralised 2 kidnappers, recovering an AK-47, ammunition and ₦2.3 million.
This video captures the operation from the sky and ground, the Governor Dapo Abiodun’s commendation of the IGP and the brave security forces, and the rescued students speaking from the Police Medical Facility.
Synergy at its finest. (Watch at x2 to speed up).
Thank you @DapoAbiodunCON@PoliceNG@OgunPoliceNG@OfficialDSSNG@HQNigerianArmy and all your brave personnel.
I looked at this picture for awhile.
I can’t believe that after all of the blessings we have, most are never happy with what Allah gave us.
But look, without a leg- he still bows to Allah.
Our problems become so much more smaller.
Tomorrow is Monday
Fast if you are able to, if not earn reward by reminding others.
Remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers (Q51:55).
Baarakallahu Feekum.
Pages of the Glorius Qur'ān today, Sunday 9/8/26, al-Naḥl (16): 88-102 tafakkur verse 16: 97
Theme: Righteousness is not measured by gender or subjective to gender bias, both men and women are required to be good believers and righteous in deeds
{مَنۡ عَمِلَ صَـٰلِحࣰا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوۡ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنࣱ فَلَنُحۡیِیَنَّهُۥ حَیَوٰةࣰ طَیِّبَةࣰۖ وَلَنَجۡزِیَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡرَهُم بِأَحۡسَنِ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ}
"Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do".
LESSONS:
1. Righteousness is open to both men and women. Allah makes no distinction between male and female in access to spiritual excellence and divine reward. What ultimately gives a person worth before Allah is sincere faith expressed through righteous conduct.
2. Faith and good deeds belong together. The verse connects īmān with righteous action. Faith is not merely something professed by the tongue; its fruits should appear in our worship, character, family relationships, work, honesty, compassion, and dealings with others.
3. The “good life” is greater than material wealth. Allah promises the believer who acts righteously a ḥayāh ṭayyibah, a wholesome and blessed life. It may include lawful provision and worldly comfort, but more importantly, it includes contentment, tranquillity, dignity, gratitude, and a heart that remains connected to Allah even during hardship.
4. True success combines this world and the Hereafter. Islam does not teach us to abandon this life in pursuit of the next. Righteousness brings meaning and goodness to our present existence while preparing us for an infinitely greater reward after death. The believer therefore builds the worldly life without sacrificing the eternal one.
5. No righteous deed is wasted with Allah. Acts of worship, kindness to one's family, honest labour, helping the needy, serving society, forgiving others, and resisting what Allah has forbidden may sometimes go unnoticed by people, but never by Allah. He promises to reward His servants according to the best of what they used to do. Therefore, live righteously even when nobody is watching or applauding, Allah sees, records, and rewards.
May Allah grant us sincere faith and righteous deeds, bless us with a good, peaceful, dignified, and wholesome life, place contentment in our hearts and barakah in our provisions, families, health, knowledge, and endeavours. May He make us steadfast in obedience in ease and hardship, accept the best of our deeds, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us a reward far greater than what we deserve. May our lives be pleasing to Him, our deaths be upon faith, and our final abode be al-Firdaws. Āmīn.
