Fake tomato paste? Fake drinks. Fake drugs. Fake food. Fake toothpastes…This is a terrorist attack targeted at food and drugs. We are treating it like a petty crime. Is it until there is “mass death” that we will know people are getting killed in droves?

NAFDAC has raided more than 20 makeshift shops at Zamfara Plaza, Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, allegedly used to produce counterfeit alcoholic drinks and repackage expired beverages.
The agency seized products and equipment valued at over ₦2 billion. Workers were allegedly caught tampering with expiry dates and replacing labels on energy drinks, wines and whiskies. Two suspects were reportedly arrested.
This is an important public health alert. Watch and share to raise awareness about the dangers of counterfeit and expired drinks. Your awareness could save a life!
Dear @NafdacAgency shut down the whole Tradefair market for at least 1wk! Shut it down!!!! Do a rigorous sweep, even if you don’t catch all u will catch a lot! Shutting it down will prevent them from hiding these things, protect us!!! Enough is enough with all these fake things. Pls!!!!!
What have we done to deserve this for God sake, bandits and terrorist are doing there own on one side, this people with fake drugs, drinks and other stuffs are still doing their own.
Why can’t each state have their own drug and food agencies, how does the government realistically wants NAFDAC to work all over Nigeria.
Am calling on the @followlasg@jidesanwoolu to please call for the decentralization of NAFDAC, before this people end everyone of us.
They sell fake drinks to us, then sell fake drugs to cure it. Don’t say this can’t affect you, it can affect anyone of us or our loved ones.
Please save our lives before this people kill us all.
NAFDAC Seizes Counterfeit Alcoholic Beverage Packaging Materials Worth Over ₦200 Million in Aba
Today, NAFDAC, acting on credible intelligence, raided five shops at Old Court Road Market, Aba, Abia State, suspected of producing and supplying counterfeit packaging materials for popular alcoholic beverages and other products.
The operation uncovered counterfeit labels, corks, packs and outer packaging materials bearing the names of several brands, including Jameson, Glenfiddich, Four Cousins, Lord’s Dry Gin, Imperial Blue, Goya Oil, Chelsea, Squadron and Seaman’s Aromatic Schnapps. The packaging materials seized were estimated to be worth over ₦200 million.
During the operation, NAFDAC’s Investigation & Enforcement operatives encountered threats and resistance from traders, making the evacuation of the seized materials challenging. The owners of the five shops were absent, and the premises were placed on hold to prevent interference with the items remaining inside.
NAFDAC issued an invitation to the Market Union Chairman, who pledged to ensure the security of the sealed premises and assist the Agency in identifying and presenting the shop owners.

The ground crew manually pushing and shoving an American Eagle jet, which its pushback tug broke down, on a wet tarmac by hand to get it moving in order to meet the strict departure time. Imagine the backlash if this had happened in Nigeria. No system is perfect.
With the way Peter Obi always talks about “fighting corruption in subsidy”, one would have thought he had some fantastic ideas on how to do it.
Or at least basic understanding of how the oil industry works.
Unfortunately he showed his ignorance of the problem when put on the spot.
Untop of that, he has consistently shown he lacks the ability to manage people. From his time as governor under APGA to PDP, LP, ADC, to where he currently is.
