🚨JAPAN DENIES DECISION TO RELEASE OIL RESERVES

🇯🇵 Japan says NO final decision has been made on releasing oil from its strategic reserves, despite reports suggesting preparations were underway.

Officials say Tokyo is closely monitoring the Middle East conflict before making any move.

The timing is critical. Oil markets are already on edge.

Brent crude briefly surged near $120 per barrel.
That’s one of the largest price spikes in decades.

The key issue is the Strait of Hormuz.

~20% of the world’s oil supply flows through this single chokepoint.

And Japan is one of the most exposed economies, with +90% of Japan’s crude imports passing through Hormuz.

That’s why strategic reserves matter.

Japan holds the world’s 3rd LARGEST petroleum reserves after the U.S. and China.

These emergency stockpiles cover roughly 254 days of domestic consumption.

Releasing those barrels could help stabilize global supply and calm oil prices.

But there’s a BIGGER signal here.

Strategic reserves are usually tapped ONLY during major global crises.

Think the First Gulf War in 1990.
Or the 2011 Fukushima disaster.

So even discussing a release tells you something:

Governments are preparing for a potential GLOBAL energy shock.

For now, Tokyo says it’s watching the situation.

But if the Strait of Hormuz disruption worsens…

Maersk stopt met varen door de Strait of Hormuz. Wordt zo steeds lastiger om het LNG gas uit Qatar in NL te krijgen. Hoogste tijd om het Groningen-veld te heropenen en de Groningers zeer royaal VOORAF te compenseren. Betonstorter Hans Vijlbrief wordt bedankt voor zijn wanbeleid.

Nederland importeert 80% van het benodigde gas terwijl er in het Groningse aardgasveld nog een voorraad is van 550 miljard kubieke meter (@TNO_nieuws ) Huidige gasprijs €1.16 inclusief BTW en netwerk kosten. Ik hou van Nederland. Maar ik zou er vandaag niet kunnen wonen.

De reden? De nieuwe box 3-wetgeving waarbij ongerealiseerde meerwaarden vanaf 2028 belast worden tegen 36%.

Dat dit voorstel door de Tweede Kamer is geraakt, verbaast me oprecht. Elke econoom weet wat dit op lange termijn doet. Het ontmoedigt investeringen, remt kapitaalstromen af en straft risico nemen af. En dat is dodelijk voor groei en innovatie.

Maar het meest fundamentele probleem?

Dat is dat je belastingen moet betalen op niet-gerealiseerde meerwaarden tegen een tarief van 36%. Iemand die op een portefeuille van 500.000 euro eens een goed jaar heeft en 20% winst maakt, mag meerdere procenten van zijn portefeuille afgeven aan de staat om die factuur te kunnen betalen. Je moet eens berekenen hoeveel van je vermogen je jaarlijks moet afgeven aan de staat in zo'n geval. Insane! En dan heb ik het nog niet over het papierwerk.

Het is nu aan Nederland om die wet tegen te houden. De wet moet immers eerst nog de Eerste Kamer passeren. En daar moet men toch ook beseffen dat een belasting op niet-gerealiseerde meerwaarden vooral welvaart kost en de welvaartstaart voor iedereen kleiner maakt.

Wie echt houdt van Nederland zou deze wet, die ondernemerschap fnuikt, moeten tegenhouden. Als binnenkort Nederlanders verhuizen naar België om fiscale redenen in plaats van naar Dubai, zou dat de beste Belgenmop zijn in jaren.

Zelfs in ons land hebben we genoeg verstand om te beseffen dat zo'n belasting een slecht idee is. En dat zegt al veel lieve noorderburen.

The fact that the Netherlands has agreed that 36% unrealized gains tax on #Bitcoin and stocks is fine, is beyond insane.

The VVD, the Liberals, are voting for something so insanely socialistic, is beyond me.

They could have done everything to lower the budgetting:
- Government efficiences
- Lower the healthcare costs by pushing forward preventing diseases in healthier lifestyles, more full body checks instead of expensive medicines pushed by big pharma.
- Stop the amount of asylum seekers within our country and focus on the internal economy and the native Dutch people.

And a lot of other things.

This is the dumbest decision ever, and it's against anything that people would like to achieve: being rewarded for taking risk.

I'm sure a lot of people will be opting-out of the Netherlands and leave this country.

A country that used to be one of the strongest economies in the world is falling down fast.

The Netherlands has gone insane.

The government wants to tax unrealized gains on #Bitcoin from 2028 onwards.

I simply don't understand why people are blindly accepting this and not going all-in to demonstrate against this particular law.

The amount of tax being paid each year is going through the roof, and now the government wants more.

Why? How so?

Let's first try to solve the entire system and stop the billions and billions of euros being spent each year for nothing.

The system is completely inefficient and broken.

No wonder people are leaving the country, and to be fair, it's completely right to do so.
