That means pirates travelled 283 km without drones noticing them. Give our ports to ICTSI & EEZ to Somalian pirates. Great!

Truth is, this is a colossal failure of @mgmaumoon. We know for a fact these drones can easily identify unknown vessels like this. But it did not. It means drones were probably somewhere else, doing something else. That means the order (for drone movement / deployment) that came from the top had a different priority other than EEZ in their mind. This is a failure of Defence Ministry. It’s a policy failure, not a tactical one. MNDF have been begging for more resources but @MMuizzu keeps on using budget to create more political jobs. MPL’s salary itself had increased from 40 million MVR a month from last year to 50 million MVR this year, according to first quarterly report they published. Now they are selling MPL to a foreign company called ICTSI saying they don’t have money for investment, compromising our sovereignty.

Muizzu has done a lot of things that affect our sovereignty. What if the Somalians landed on a normal island and kidnapped some people or attacked people? Or a luxury resort and attacked a few millionaire tourists? It would make bad headlines around the world. Protecting our border is important for these reasons. A compromised Maldivian border can kill our tourism industry.
