@thsottiaux@CastAsHuman honestly no. 5.5 is already one of the smartest models out there sharper than fable 5 on raw intelligence imo. the only gap is taste in design + writing. if 5.6 keeps that and just makes it cheaper, that's a win for everyone building on it.
@thsottiaux didn't know you could! genuinely curious who's reaching for open models here at my usage gpt 5.5 + the sub resets ends up cheaper than hosting. is it mostly a privacy no-rate-limit thing?
codex's computer stack is kind of wild now and barely anyone explains it
@computer → drive any native app (spotify, xcode, even your iphone)
@chrome → your signed-in browser (gmail, dashboards, anything behind a login). handles multiple tabs at once
@browser → an isolated browser inside codex to build + debug your own site. you can annotate elements to perfect the design
appshot → point codex at a window, don't hand over control
chronicle → it quietly remembers what's on your screen so you stop re-explaining your project every time
most underrated stack in ai coding right now
been using both daily, codex's computer use + browser use is far ahead of anthropic's right now. not close.and it's the extras that stack: image gen, app shots, chronicle memory, plus limit resets you can actually bank and trigger when you need them .one's live for me, the other's on the road per @thsottiaux
is this good or bad news?
good news: claude -p and the sdk are staying in the subscription. no dedicated credit, nothing changes for now.
bad news: reading between the lines, we're probably not getting fable 5 back anytime soon.
@0x45o He has enough money to spend without thinking for the rest of his life and for generations after him. At this point it's not about the money anymore. It's about making history and putting his name among the greatest.
@Kalshi_Finance Crazy. Microsoft has Azure, Xbox, Windows, and tons of products used worldwide built over almost 50 years. And SpaceX just passed it to become the 4th biggest company in the world... days after going public.
