When smallholder farmers are empowered, they take the initiative rather than waiting on others. Walisha invests in their potential because we believe individuals have what it takes to create change from the ground up. What else can be done to give them all they need to thrive?

It's time to reconsider the narrative: farmers aren't the root cause of Africa's poverty; they're vital to overcoming it. Walisha invests in smallholder farmers because they hold the key to attaining the SDGs. What policies do you believe could help them?

Got a birthday coming up? Or know a friend who does? 🤔 Let's make it more than just cake and candles! Join the Walisha Birthday Movement and start a fundraiser to help smallholder farmers in Africa grow sustainably. Celebrate with purpose! #BirthdayWithImpact #WalishaMovement

[Walisha Foundation @walishaorg]

Smallholder farmers are more than just a part of Africa's food system; they are the foundation of it. Walisha promotes their inclusion by offering tools, training, and discussions to raise their views. What more can we do together for Africa's agricultural transformation?

[Walisha Foundation @walishaorg]

At Walisha, we understand that hunger and conflict are deeply connected, and that food security is the first step toward lasting peace. That's why we support resilient food systems that build communities from the ground up.

[Walisha Foundation @walishaorg]

Building climate-resilient food systems is no longer optional, it’s a matter of survival. At Walisha, we’re working with smallholder farmers to adopt sustainable, adaptive practices that can stand up to climate shocks. What strategies can take this movement even further?

[Walisha Foundation @walishaorg]

Walisha believes food security is a fundamental human right and not a privilege. That’s why we work across communities to ensure smallholder farmers can grow, access, and share nutritious food, no matter their socioeconomic status. How do we continue breaking these barriers?

[Walisha Foundation @walishaorg]

In 2024, each smallholder farmer Walisha trained went on to share the knowledge with 4 other farmers, and we’re just as diligent in our quest to learn from them too. What would you ask a smallholder farmer today, to transform agriculture tomorrow? #walisha #walishaorg

[Walisha Foundation @walishaorg]

Join the Walisha Birthday Movement and celebrate your special day by giving back. Through this movement, you can start a fundraiser to help raise money for smallholder farmers in Africa grow more sustainably. Make your next birthday count even more! #WalishaBirthdayMovement

[Walisha Foundation @walishaorg]

We see an Africa that can cultivate its own food, securing sustainable livelihoods for the farmers, making it happen and still having an overflow that reaches markets beyond the continent. Let’s discuss the path to agriculture independence. Add your voice. #walisha #walishaorg #

[Walisha Foundation @walishaorg]

Because we know sustainability is essential for a healthy planet, we champion farming practices that not only uplift the farmer but also protect the earth. What sustainable choices are you making for a better future?
