Excited to start the New Year by signing this ordinance, which our City Council voted 5-0 in support to repeal the offstreet parking minimum requirements for restaurants, bars, clubs, and lodges in the City of Cape Canaveral.

This will help reduce the burden of excessive pavement requirements and parking lots in the City, which causes increased stormwater runoff, flooding, and negative impacts to the Lagoon. This will also support and encourage more “walkable/bikeable” small businesses to keep operating and thrive in our City!

Our @CapeCanaveralFL Code Enforcement, BCSO and Fire Department will continue their commitment to safety when it comes to total occupancy and parking.
