🚗What's happening to Europe's car industry is one of the biggest stories in the world right now, & prob the biggest story of next year too.
A slow motion implosion driven by multiple factors (esp Chinese competition).
Watch my primer on what's going on👇
At @gs1, we are transforming the retail industry: reducing waste; informing consumers.
How? By fusing the ubiquity of the humble barcode with enhanced industry-standard trusted data.
This is 1st time I’ve been called “ever sensible and sober” 👀👇

Made it to Ghana 🇬🇭 It’s been another tough few days. Body is still riddled with injuries so it’s been more mind games trying to figure out how best to deal with that.
I ain’t found the formula yet but I’m starting to just accept this is probably the way it’s gonna be for the last 7000km or so. If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. If I can’t crawl, I must be dead. Till the end🍸
Ghana really feels like one of the most hospitable & safe countries I’ve been to on the continent so far. I find it difficult to take stuff in properly when so much of my energy is required on the basics of just covering distance but it is incredible to have had the opportunity to see so much of Africa on foot. Blessed.
Hope you’re all having a productive week out there🫡
A dream come true! What a great performance from the team! very happy for the victory, goal and assist! 🔥🔥 To the Tangerines 🍊 fans ❤️ #arabs#Dundeeunited

Great to join @HenryDimbleby for a discussion on ‘how food and drink businesses can get our planet into shape’.
At @gs1uk we enable trusted data to inform and protect consumers.
Trusted information enables sustainable choices. Lots to do, but it couldn’t be more important.
One of my favourite moments in Ghana was the Kumasi durbar, hosted by the Asantehene for our future King.
Wonderful to see Otumfuo in London for this weekend’s coronation.
Next week West African singer-songwriter Peter One, now a US resident, is back with his first new LP in 38 yrs. His previous one (with Jess Sah Bi) is one of the most beautiful albums in my collection. So this is exciting. Here's the story of that record. https://t.co/fDpkqQI4tV

Great to speak with @BBCRadio4’s You and Yours about how they work & why they matter so much!
Apologies for the terrible pun at the end.

The humble - and iconic - barcode turns 50 tomorrow.
It has transformed commerce. It is now enabling circular supply chains, patient safety in hospitals and safe construction.
Onwards for the next 50 years @gs1uk !
Many of us have cursed barcodes as we stand at a supermarket self-checkout trying and failing to scan groceries in a hurry.
Yet we hold in our hands one of the most underrated inventions of all time. https://t.co/OLGmc6gVpg
