#Governance, is front of mind for managers, investors, administrators and directors. We're also seeing the Cayman Islands regulator (CIMA) echoing their own focus in this area.

For private funds we can see that 20% remains an acceptable carry percentage which suggests that investors are perhaps happy to pay for returns more than for ongoing fees.

We've seen more continuation funds where management fees are lower. We've also seen secondary funds where, again, management fees tend to be lower.

In the last 12 months, we saw 62% of our funds deploying a standard 12 month lockup. However this year we have observed that more funds are now introducing longer lock-ups in the 18-36 months range.

2022 has been a year for the mega funds. Driven predominantly by done-deals and capital deployed at a rapid pace over 2021 which has led to many mega funds coming back to market quickly.

#IPO activity has been limited recently but we have seen lots of listings of Cayman companies on US and international exchanges. We also played in the SPAC boom and are seeing some of those #SPACs managing to do de-SPACs.
