@AuronMacintyre This means ending the US participation in the UN and kicking the UN out of the US. Also, ending NATO and ending all participating with all foreign alliances like the WEF and such.
@HansFiene What is the next contentious issue after modern worship that isn't enforced? I fear that egalitarian theology will continue to rise and creep in the LCMS through female lectors and so on.
@HansFiene Churches defied that and continue to operate in the SBC with egalitarian theology.
The LCMS will continue to have issues with worship and liturgy unless it is firmly enforced but the problem is that the current polity makes it difficult to do that.
@lymanstoneky I think those in the LCMS that don't want traditional liturgy and worship and want modern worship practices should move over to the Lutheran Brethren church. There that is a way simpler fix.
@WmWeedon Traditional liturgy is growing among Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox with many being converts and that's with the modern worship megachurches at a plateau.
@HansFiene ... though that modern worship influence has left problems that the LCMS are still dealing with and the reason we are in third run off vote for the LCMS president is because of that.
@HansFiene What helped saved the LCMS was holding the orthodox line during the seminex controversy.
What also helped save the LCMS is saving the LCMS from the megachurch influence of modern worship and corporate church structures from Concordia STL...
@HansFiene It's not episcopal polity blame, it's theological liberalism that infected the seminaries of the ELCA that then infected the pastors and bishops and churches.
What's interesting about the ELCA is how about 40% of ELCA members voted for Trump in the last election...
@HansFiene ...so while the majority is progressive left, there are still a minority left in the ELCA that while stuck, seem not to buy into the progressive left majority.
There is an opportunity to be missionaries into the ELCA which means going into a thoroughly pagan land...
