God is speaking to Israel in the verse below, but the verse can apply to believers in Christ Jesus too, because God said I will call them My people, that were not My people..
So if you’re a believer, and you’ve had a particularly stressful difficult time? Then maybe you’re being refined 🙂
Behold, I have refined you,
but not as silver;
I have tried you in the furnace of affliction.
Isaiah 48:10
The Israelites had just escaped slavery in Egypt when Pharaoh’s army came after them. With the Red Sea in front of them and the Egyptian soldiers behind them, they were terrified and didn’t know what to do. They felt trapped, but God had not abandoned them.
Moses told the people not to be afraid and to trust the Lord. God instructed him to stretch his staff over the sea. When Moses obeyed, God sent a strong east wind that pushed the waters apart, opening a path through the sea. The Israelites walked across on dry ground, with water standing like walls on both sides.
When the Egyptians followed them, God brought the waters back and the Israelites escaped safely. What had seemed like an impossible situation became a powerful moment of deliverance.
Sometimes we face situations where we can’t see a way forward. The Israelites must have wondered how they would ever escape but God made a way for them. When life feels overwhelming, remember how faithfully He helped His people through the Red Sea
Is anyone else noticing an increase in roadworks where you live?
I’ve never in all my years of driving noticed so many temporary traffic lights and road closures. I had 3 on one stretch of road last week.
@Cocolettii There definitely seems to be an increase IMO. I do a lot of driving, and sometimes long distances, I notice it’s a pattern wherever I go.
I think they want many out of their privately owned vehicles, and onto public transport.
@TanyaSzendeffy You're welcome 🙂
By the sounds of it, there is/was a slight incline leading to the platform at Fenchurch Street Station, because the staff would give the train a slight push off, and let gravity do the rest of the work 👍🏻

“But, enquired Christian, are there no turnings nor windings by which a pilgrim may lose his way?
Yes, replied Goodwill, there are many side paths that intersect with the narrow way, but they’re crooked and wide, this is how you may distinguish the right from the wrong. Only the right path is straight and narrow”

John Wesley wrote in his journal in 1777
“I began visiting those of our society who lived in Bethnal Green. Many of these I found in such poverty, as few can conceive without seeing it”

Fenchurch Street Station, London EC3.
Opened in 1841, rebuilt in 1854. Until 1849 no steam locomotives were used, trains were dragged from Blackwall to Minories by cables, and had to reach Fenchurch Street by their own momentum. They left with a slight push from platform staff.
@LondonStone Apparently the only complete Georgian Square left in Bloomsbury.
I read that, until 1893 the whole place was sealed off by gates, and tradesmen were required to deliver goods in person.
