ESPN sources: The Eagles are trading Pro-Bowl WR A.J. Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick that is the better of New England’s two fifths. The deal that has been speculated on for weeks now finally is happening. Brown and Patriots HC Mike Vrabel are reuniting.

There are now two teams with multiple 1st-round picks in the highly anticipated 2027 NFL Draft:

🏈Jets: 3 — their own, the Colts’ pick, and the higher of the Packers’ and Cowboys’ picks.

🏈Browns: 2 — their own and the Rams’ pick.

Dallas previously had two 1st-round picks, but the higher of its own pick and Green Bay’s was sent to the Jets in the Quinnen Williams trade.

One detail the #Rams have privately stressed: The Myles Garrett trade likely doesn’t happen if they don’t draft Ty Simpson at No. 13.

With a QB they believe can be the future already in place, the Rams are once again comfortable using future draft capital to acquire elite talent. They don’t need to worry about those picks for a QB.

Bombshell: The Browns are finalizing a trade that will send two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, per @rapsheet, @TomPelissero and me.

In exchange for Garrett, the Rams are expected to send Pro-Bowl edge Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick and other draft-pick compensation still being negotiated to the Browns.
