@DavQuinn Every election I think “right, here’s all the things I can get off my chest at last. If enough ppl say it they must listen”. Inevitably the canvasser turns out be their elderly mother or father or auntie so it’s pointless. But NGOs are in their ear every day.

@EwanMacKenna I was in college with BOC as he was known. At the main UCC debating society, it was customary to not mock or heckle (always nervous) first time speakers. Only once did I see some twat ignore that and it was him. No respect for him since.
