"Inclusion isn’t about “those” kids or “these” kids… it’s about understanding that intelligence takes many forms & finding ways to accept every one of them in the classroom. It’s about reaching, teaching, and including all kids." - L.Wayman @think_inclusive#inclusionmatters
A 16 year old #FirstNations boy walked into a forest, hurting in ways we can’t imagine.
He ended his life, hanging from a tree, 35 metres from the group home where he was put.
For 7 months, he stayed in that tree.
200 days, 35 metres.
Oh, Canada. We hang our head in shame.
Holiday spirit @jbcommunityschl is contagious! Thx to Kelly family for donating & transporting Christmas tree. A big shout out to Curtis & Jane for raising the tree celebration. #community#Nanaimo https://t.co/y5sbAoAkyM

Great video leading into orange shirt day. I would say it is appropriate for intermediate through to grade 12. https://t.co/rJmTODWJJs #OrangeShirtDay#nlpslearns#sd68

Reading together creates a safe space to talk about complex and sometimes personal issues - warmed my heart when our amazing students volunteered to read aloud today (your voice becomes one with the authors’) 🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
