I stopped at Kenol to have some mbuzi choma. As you drive to the establishment, ladies and men rush to welcome you and give you water to wash your hands and taste some delicacy. We placed our order and engaged in a small chat about state of economy. The business owners are really mad at Ruto. I asked them why. They were like, “ you know we Kikuyus hated Raila and we wanted to teach Uhuru a lesson “ we embraced Ruto because he came via the church “ they said. I asked why they hate Raila Odinga. Unfortunately they don’t have a serious answer beyond “ our parents told us to hate Raira “ now they are feeling the pain of bad governance choices. I reminded them about this video 😂
Listen to how commercial activists respond to questions.
They're unhappy that Kenyans failed to show up 🤣
They're quick to blame on President Ruto. This man is foolish.

My friend, @skmusyoka, I agree with you, today you really worked hard.
In fact, you worked so hard that you literally sprinted to your car, leaving your women supporters to find their own way.
So now, Mr. Presidential Candidate, sir, take a well earned break. Relax, unwind, and enjoy the ambience and massage at the GRAND MELIA Arusha.
After all, as the hotel's slogan says: "A Life Well Lived." In the utmost luxury, dinner at the rooftop is a good choice.
You've earned it, SKM. After all that hard work.

“To enhance early warning and response, information sharing between communities and security officers is crucial. When we collaborate and join hands, we will have a safe and secure Tiaty,” remarked Samuel Gichohi, Deputy County Commissioner.
Supported by the @denmarkinkenya through @tendasasa under the Resilience Peace and Stability Programme, MIDRIFT will continue to strengthen the capacity of herders as peace champions to promote cohesion across Baringo County. #peacebuilding

“Peace must begin with us. For the whole community to be peaceful, we must unite and collaborate.”
This was the clarion call during an inter-communal peace meeting in Tangulbei, Tiaty East, bringing together herders from the Pokot community to nurture dialogue, rebuild trust, and strengthen community cohesion. The meeting followed theft of eight cattle in Arabal earlier this month, with recovery efforts still ongoing.
Key outcomes:
🐄Participants emphasised enforcing livestock movement permits by local chiefs to regulate migrating herders who sometimes trigger conflicts thus preventing conflicts.
👥Two elders from the Pokot and Tugen communities initiated intercommunal dialogue that facilitated the resettlement of families displaced by conflict in Baringo South. This initiative will be replicated along Baringo’s borders with Samburu and Laikipia counties, with women and youth actively included.
🌱Previous MIDRIFT interventions, which led to the formation and registration of herder groups and the initiation of alternative livelihoods, are now being replicated in the Kadokoi area. This approach is expected to strengthen community resilience and help curb livestock theft. #peacebuilding
