Finishing the series explaining the topography of @AroNetwork, is the backbone of ARO: the blockchain.

This is probably the most important yet complex layer of the network, so I’ll keep it simple.

ARO’s blockchain (EVM-based) acts like a public record book. It keeps track of what’s really happening on the network.
Things like how much work nodes do, how rewards are calculated and paid, how the $ARO token works, governance decisions, payments, orders and even geographic regions. Everything important is recorded on-chain.

Now, ARO is built around geography.

The network is split into regions so resources stay close to users. This means faster performance, better quality and lower costs. Because of this, ARO nodes are naturally localized.

Before any node starts working, whether it’s an Edge Node or a Keeper Node, it must register its region on-chain and connect with other nodes in that same region.

Even though ARO is geographically split, it’s still one global network.

The overall state of the network is maintained by Keeper Nodes through consensus and all of this data is written to the blockchain.

To keep things secure and trustless, ARO uses a hybrid verification system.

Inside each region, Edge Nodes stay connected to multiple Keeper Nodes using long-running connections. These connections are rotated randomly using an on-chain function, which makes collusion very hard.

Between regions, instead of heavy communication, ARO uses random challenges. Small data packets are sent across regions to check that Edge Nodes are actually providing real resources, not faking activity.

Finally, all Keeper Nodes are fully connected to each other. This is what allows the network to maintain global consensus while still benefiting from regional efficiency.

This Means Local performance, global security are all enforced by the blockchain.
