Terrific well researched piece from my friend CANDICE. I was born and raised in BROOKLYN, NY so I’ve loved #graffiti as long as I can remember 👦🏾. Great history here including the all important intersection here in #NYC.
I lived in BALTIMORE CITY and I worked @BaltimorePolice so I’m uniquely qualified to talk about #TheWire
Here I talk about my favorite season and exactly why it was the BEST season.

The “double dolly shot” originated in ‘The Story of a Three Day Pass’ (1967) Written and Directed by the legend #MelvinVanPeebles (R.I.P. 🎬🕊️).
SPIKE LEE has gone on to make the #DoubleDollyShot his signature shot in his oeuvre.
On this #MLKDay#MLKDay2026 I present again the film I wrote ‘Down with the King’ (2002).
FULL FILM linked 🔗 and More Information is below👇🏾 , but I wanted to add that as with most of my scripts, I used the names of family members and for this one the Lead characters are sisters and I named those sisters after my mom VERA and her only sister ADINA.
I also did EXTENSIVE research on the history of Black agents in the FBI. I made their father, mentioned in the film, one of the first Black FBI agents and I wanted to make it as accurate as possible. I even contacted the FBI and they gave me some great info.☝🏽 More about this excerpt below.

💥💥John Travolta, at age 71, surprised fans on June 27 at the Hollywood Bowl “Grease” sing‑along event, stepping on stage as Danny Zuko in a black leather jacket and slicked‑back grey hair. His unexpected cameo thrilled both fans and original cast members, who had no advance notice. Travolta led the audience in iconic lines and a chorus of “We Go Together,” paying tribute to the film’s lasting legacy. Credit: @johntravolta
#nfotd#BallerinaMovie Review: This movie was #MadCool. It’s full title as advertised was “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina” and it was definitely that! It delivers on a lot of #KickAssCrazy action 💥💥💥.
SYNOPSIS: An assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma organization sets out to seek revenge after her father's death.
ANA DE ARMAS does an outstanding job in the action scenes. Unless they spent a ton of money on replacing her face with visual effects, it was really her kicking and shooting the shit out of—EVERYBODY. She went full “Joanna Wick” LOL.
You know they had to include KEANU REEVES as “John Wick” in this movie and as a critic said he kinda slows down the action. The Ballerina was doing a great job killing everybody and he kinda slows the movie down if you can believe that. I get the marketing purposes of including John Wick, but he was totally not needed and that’s saying something.
Director LEN WISEMAN did a great job on all the action set pieces and they were really action packed! Once the action really started it never stopped.
#Ballerina was a good action movie. Really worth the watch.
It’s currently streaming on STARZ.

we are reliving the era when newsrooms are almost entirely white and great journalists of color, particularly black and brown journalists, are moving into their blog era. this should be concerning for anyone even a little invested in honest, well-reported journalism.
