@corsent I would add anything from Kurosawa to this. Also Harakiri is one of my all time favorites and I believe it’s part of criterion now (the 2011 remake by Miike is excellent as well imo).
@Melanie_Rimmer Then warlords came out and it was impossible to solo level a holy pally, retribution was SLOW and they neutered prot’s damage plus I just didn’t like the xpac so I haven’t even touched the game since the week after WoD landed.
@Melanie_Rimmer Holy pally wound up being hilariously OP for healing during MoP. I could spam bubbles and heals practically nonstop and never run out of mana and they had like 9 reliable skills to use so I wound up running with new groups a lot because I could keep the party up through anything.
@villares If you’re like me and “need” several TB it’s obviously impractical but if you can fit when you need backed up on a couple SD cards and keep redundant copies of super important stuff that should be fine
@villares Woof yeah I know how outrageous those prices get there. Honestly SD cards SHOULD last quite a while so long as they’re not being used as working drives but just backup. What generally wrecks them is heat generated through read/write cycles but it all sort of depends on your needs
@villares It’s maybe not the cheapest option and is sort of heavily dependent on how much storage you NEED (storing video gets prohibitively expensive). I keep one as sort of rolling backup storage and push all the new stuff on it to the other one once a month for redundancy.
@villares Honestly I just get cheap HDDs for all my backups. A 6TB WD Blue is like 130 bucks and I generally keep 2 of those mirrored with all my important shit. Currently have a pair of 4TBs that’s coming up on 6 years old and I’m not having any trouble out of them yet.
@emorydunn Oh right a bit more info on transformer just in case, the output of the transformer will be going to R and C and you get 24V across the two. If you get the wrong wire connected it just won’t give you power but all you have to do is check for 24V across your R and C to find it.
@emorydunn Ah yeah should be fine then. Check the extras for shorts and run one to the C and you’re good to go. (Might have to piggyback 24V off of the transformer if there’s no C terminal just make sure to kill high voltage to the furnace before prodding around obviously)
@emorydunn (This IS recommended by most stats that require a C if you don’t have one run) the caveat comes with if you need the stat to control the fan for heat too. You CAN still do it but you need to add a relay in the unit (had to do this earlier today, pulling wire wasn’t possible)
@emorydunn Assuming you mean pulling 24V off the air handler to power the stat, if you have a G wire/terminal and the air handler controls the fan in heat, you can switch the G to C and jump the Y to bring the fan in when you call for cool, but you lose fan control at the stat. 1/2
@emorydunn Anything with it feel free to hit me up. My only real advice is to be sure to put in a 1.5-2F heating and cooling swing so it’s not constantly turning on and off all day unless you have a high efficiency unit
@emorydunn Yeah I like my ecobee but I’ve sort of got it set up to work for me in a 1 body household and I mostly got it to have a smart stat I’m familiar with for the customers who want one and I’ve had FAR too many problems with nests to even consider one. If you have any questions about/
