After 144 years of construction, Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia is finally complete. The iconic basilica, designed by architect Antoni Gaudí and considered one of the most ambitious architectural projects in modern history, was shaped by Gaudí for 43 years before his death exactly 100 years ago, when he was struck by a tram while the church was still far from finished.

In the final years of his life, Gaudí lived on the construction site and devoted himself almost entirely to the project. At the time of his death, only about 10% to 15% of the basilica had been completed, leaving future generations with the monumental task of carrying out his vision. A century later, that vision has finally become reality.

Indian cuisine conversations often revolve around Punjabi, South Indian or Bengali food. Odiya cuisine deserves a much bigger place on that table.
What struck me most was its restraint. No overload of cream, butter or chillies. Just balance, mustard, fermentation, texture and freshness.
Dahi Bara Aloo Dum (popular street food), Drumstick-Brinjal Besara, Chhena Tarkari, Chakuli Pitha (like dosa) Aloo Patra Besara… all made at home.

In 2007, Indian domestic teams played the first edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, then known as the Inter State T20 Championship. The format was still new, and batters were in the early stages of adapting from ODIs to the demands of T20 cricket.

By modern T20 standards, it was a bowler dominated tournament. Among the top 50 wicket takers, only one bowler had an economy rate above 9. Similarly, among the top 50 run scorers, just one batter managed a strike rate above 160 - a remarkable outlier.

That batter was 34 year old Sachin Tendulkar.

Tendulkar scored 188 runs in 4 matches, averaging 47 and striking at an astonishing 176. While others were still learning to ride the bicycle of T20 cricket, Tendulkar was already racing ahead in a Ferrari.
