Her tire blew out. She pulled into a gas station, locked the doors, and waited for her family to come help.

When police arrived she was unconscious in the driver's seat.

They broke the window and fired twenty-three shots into the car.

Tyisha Miller. Riverside, California, December 1998. She was 19.

She was hit twelve times. Four officers fired.
No one was charged with anything. A grand jury declined. The Justice Department reviewed it and closed it.

The four officers were eventually fired by the city — and the police union fought that, too.
A nineteen-year-old waiting for roadside assistance, asleep behind a locked door, in a car that was not going anywhere.

Twenty-three shots. Riverside changed its entire police department after this, under state supervision. That is what it cost.

This does not mean the person has poor payment history, just ignorance to the credit system. The point is it should not play into their housing.

@tulipvirtues - a clump of living tissue is a psychotic individual. I would say this applies to any living or non living tissue. It would also be gross or evil with say a human organ or an animal organ.

@bryanrbeal I truly believe DUIs are an indication of bad drivers and selfish individuals. They are not good drivers or considerate of others on the road when sober. Driving after drinking indicates you did not make any presumptive measures while sober to ensure you don’t drive after.

@MiddleIsntBad @tariq_jerrell When kids are this far behind it is impossible to catch them up in one year while also following the curriculum the county sets. These kids need to learn the literal basics. Teachers are now being tasked with the impossible on top of addressing behaviors and no parents to help.
