A woman is raped inside Ghaziabad police station in Lahore. The response? “Women should not remain in Lahore police stations after Maghrib” Let that sink in. The police station failed. The institution failed. The system failed. Yet somehow, once again the burden falls on women. Every time women are failed, the answer seems to be another restriction on women instead of fixing the institution that failed them. Women don’t need fewer places to seek help. They need to know that when they walk into a police station, they will be protected, not endangered. Where else should they go? If this is the solution, we’ve learnt absolutely nothing. Gut wrenching.
My DMs are full of videos from Kashmir showing the killing of our own people. Acc. to locals, 67 people were killed in mass shootings by (martial)law enforcement. These oppressors act like heroes when talking about peace in other countries, but they can’t even talk to their own people. Instead of dialogue, they chose violence. It’s a brutal attempt to silence the people of Kashmir
Those who claim to liberate Iranian women are rapists and pedophiles hiding behind redactions. There is no moral high ground here. This is an invasion by the US on Israel's command designed to enslave a nation under the pretense of liberating the individual.
